hi my name is Isabel I'm a 10 year old girl who lives in New York Colleton area and today I would like to teach you about some health Pitts America has become so unhealthy because too many kids aren't eating right and they don't exercise on a daily basis nearly one-third of children in America are overweight or obese and at one point in their life they will suffer from diabetes these numbers are a whole lot where in African American and Hispanic populations excellent book called in defense of food and eaters Manifesto it's by Michael Pollan and if you're too young to read this book you can just read the cover on that pretty much summarizes summarizes the whole book eat food not too much mostly plants Michael Pollan seven words mean eat food that he's meaning by that beautiful some fresh healthy natural food not fast food or not junk not too much eaten in moderation don't eat too much at a time mostly next vegetables and fruit that needs and Aries in moderation reading for The Baseballs read the writing on a bottle of pills  who does the drug still make wise choices possible then gredients diet any partially hydrogenated oils. trans fats don't buy it I fractals corn syrup don't buy it in rice bleached flour don't buy it lightning don't buy it don't buy it anything does artificial colors or dyes don't buy it and example of something good would be maker oats old fashioned because the only ingredient is 100% natural whole grain Quaker quality rolled oats Turtles are so much better than Girl Scout cookies because look what's in Girl Scout cookies and reached flower  vegetable shortening sugar what does corn syrup you can vote to change the system three times a day thanks be by choosing the right Foods you want to eat carefully now we're going to play a little game is 3 Orange Street projects can you tell me which one's healthier are real orange  orange juice or an orange drink and arms is healthier because it's the most natural and it's come out for tree how about this one Astros versus Canon spectacles the fresh vegetables are better because they're not as processed  they've come the guy hears one which is healthier Skippy peanut butter  Jarred peanuts or fresh peanuts that's right if you said the fresh peanuts they come from the ground even though can't peanuts come from the ground is added to them here's another one which one's healthier baked potato chips or a baked potato  can I take the baked potato is healthier it's not processed  on I also like to mention that these are baked potato chips this is a lot healthier than fry which one's healthier white bread wheat bread  the whole wheat bread is healthier because it's more full of brains than just white bread there's a tricky one versus raisins that's right grapes are healthier because still have all the water and juice inside then reason type it all out and it doesn't feel you up as much raisins have a label and there's a lot of things added Wow breaks have no legal because Real Food Eat sometimes doesn't have illegal for example do you see a label on this  is it great please a lot of sugar or a lot of salt no because you should only use sugar and salt in moderation  use your brain when you're eating use common sense I don't have any pops for this but I'm going to ask it anyway baked broiled or steamed versus fried that's right big boiled or steamed because frying as a lot of fat and calories is this good a hot dog no it's what we call mystery meat because really know what's in it it's full of ground up  whatever Donuts they're not very healthy because they don't grow out of the ground and they have a lot of fat in them what else is doing it is probably the whole I'm not telling you not to eat any of these unhealthy Foods just eat them in moderation everything in moderation
